What Has Your Priority?

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own (Matthew 6:33-34).

What has our priority are the very things we put first. We put first the things that are important to us, right? We prioritize the things we value. So what are you putting first? What do you value most? It could be your job, yourself, your significant other, money, partying, drugs, astrology, or your kids. Sometimes we get so caught up in the creation that we forget the creator but nothing should take the place of God. Where is God's position in your life? Many times we try to do things on our own or out of our own strength instead of taking our situations to God first. We'll even call someone for advice before we go to God about it because we want an answer right now. We want to pursue our own desire or fix our own problems instead of waiting on God but God wants us to seek Him first in all we do. The bible says seek and you shall find. GOD IS WAITING ON US! So allow Him to take His rightful place on the throne of your heart because He values you. You are important to Him. Allow God to be God and trust that He will do what He promises. Show God that you value Him and you value your relationship with Him by prioritizing Him. Be intentional about the time you spend with God. May Jesus be our priority not our last resort.

Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me (Mark 8:34).

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for grace and mercy. Thank you for always valuing me. I repent for not prioritizing time with you. I repent for not valuing you. Please reveal to me anything that has taken your place in my life and take your rightful place on the throne of my heart. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
