The Time Is Now

surrender: give up or hand over; abandon oneself entirely to the authority of God. Accepting that the battle is already won.

15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. 19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. 21 To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. (Revelation 3:15-21).

When we are lukewarm and selectively sacrificial, God can’t move in our lives like He wants to. “God you can have my Sundays but you can’t have this alcohol” ,“God you can have the secular music but not that unforgiveness I’ve been holding onto or that childhood trauma”, “God you can have all of me just don’t touch this ungodly relationship or that sexual immorality”. God wants ALL of you not just parts of you. He can change your desires. There’s so much He wants to do in you. Surrender to Him. When you refuse to surrender all to God, you are saying you don't trust Him to provide in that area of your life. " You can't serve God on a conditional 'yes' " (just different podcast).

The kingdom is at hand. Someone's deliverance is attached to your obedience and surrender to God. Breakthrough is attached to your testimony. It's time to get serious about your relationship with God. Turn away from old things and surrender COMPLETELY. "You have to want God's presence over your own preferences and desires" (just different podcast). The bible states that no man can serve two masters so who will you serve? 7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.8 Come near to God and he will come near to you.Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.9 Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom.10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up (James 4:7-10). "You can impact and influence a culture and not be of it" (just different podcast). There is power and authority the Lord wants you to walk into. We are called to be in the world not of the world. We serve a God that can empathize with us. Jesus gets it. Even He struggled but He surrendered to the will of the Father. God is good and He wants what's good for us. So let God be God because He will never fail you. He's got you. It's time to pick a side and the time is now. 22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do (James 1:22-25).

A Call to Salvation: If you have never made a commitment of your life to Christ but would like to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior; maybe you have but have fallen away from God and you want to make sure you are right with Him. He is calling you. He wants a relationship with you. Say this prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for loving me. I thank you that you sent your son Jesus to die on the cross for my sins. Jesus thank you that you willingly came so that I may be forgiven. Today I accept you as Lord of my life. Come into my heart and live on the inside of me. Lord, I repent of my sins. I promise to live for you, and only you. I surrender to you and your will. Thank you that I will never be the same after this moment, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
